toddyinthemood หรือ ทศพล กล่อมเกลา เป็นศิลปิน นักเขียน นักวาดนิยายภาพ จบจากคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เขาเริ่มเขียนงานจากการวาดภาพเล่าเรื่อง ซึ่งจะเป็นงานวาดภาพดิจิทัลเป็นส่วนส่วนใหญ่ โดยจะเล่าเป็นเรื่องของชีวิตในบรรยากาศแห่งความเหงาและความเศร้า เขาชอบวาดรูปเล่าเรื่องให้กำลังใจ เพื่อบอกทุกคนว่าแม้ชีวิตจะแย่และเจอเรื่องยาก ๆ มาตลอดมากมาย แต่ก็อยากให้กำลังใจทุกคนว่าไม่ใช่เราคนเดียวที่เจอ และอีกไม่นานมันก็จะผ่านไป 

Tossapol Klomklao, known as toddyinthemood, is a Chiang Mai-based artist, writer and creator of graphic novels who graduated from Chiang Mai University with a degree in architecture. He was initially drawn to art for its capacity to tell stories. His works, the majority of which are created digitally, are autobiographical and anchored in a lonely and melancholic key. However, his stories are also a source of solace, serving as a reminder to viewers that though life is infernal and tests us relentlessly, we are neither the first nor the last person to encounter these challenges, and soon enough, they will pass.

toddyinthemood มักสื่อสารผ่านตัวละครหลักที่เป็นภาพจำของผู้หญิงผมสั้นกับเพื่อนสัตว์ต่าง ๆ ที่ช่วยในการดำเนินเรื่อง โดยมีฉากหลังเป็นบรรยากาศเมืองใหญ่ อีกทั้งยังมีการหยิบจับการเล่าแบบเหนือจริงมาประกอบโดยการใช้แสงกับฉากสถาปัตยกรรมในการเล่าเพื่อสื่ออารมณ์ผ่านการใช้สีในโทนน้ำเงิน ม่วง และฟ้า ที่สามารถขับให้ภาพมีบรรยากาศเหงาเศร้าออกมาและทำให้ทุกคนที่ดูภาพสามารถรับรู้ผ่านประสบการณ์ของตัวเองและเชื่อมโยงตัวเองไปกับภาพพร้อมเรื่องเล่าได้

toddyinthemood weaves his stories around a signature character: a woman with short hair whose interactions with her friends and animals are the gears that move the narrative forwards. The action often unfolds against the backdrop of a metropolis and a magical series of events, evoked through a strategic use of lighting and architecture that builds the emotional and melancholic affect of a scene in shades of dark blue, purple and light blue. These elements allow viewers to interpret his work through the lens of their own experiences and personally connect to his stories.
